As per the APSCE Constitution, to qualify for the role of an Honorary EC member, a candidate must show evidence of at least 20 years of continuous membership, active participation, and substantial contributions to the society. This appointment, confirmed by a three-fourths majority vote of the EC, recognizes Prof. Fu-Yun Yu's influential role in advancing the use of computing technologies in education across the Asia-Pacific region.
