Message from the President

As I begin my term as APSCE President on January 1st, 2026, I would like to express
my sincere gratitude once again for your vote of confidence. As I shared at the closing
session of ICCE 2025 in India, it is a true honor and privilege to serve this community,
to which I owe so much.
We stand at a pivotal moment in the history of educational technology. The rapid
proliferation of AI is fundamentally redefining the ecosystem of teaching and learning
environments. We are witnessing a paradigm shift from merely using AI as an
instructional tool to establishing Human-AI Co-creation systems, where human
cognition and AI work in synergy to augment intelligence. This evolution necessitates
to establish truly Educational Big Data Analytics and Evidence-Based Education (EBE).
It is our collective responsibility to lead the academic discourse on integrating these
technologies in ways that ensure ethical standards, equity, and the personalization of
learning experiences.
In this transformative era, APSCE continues to grow in its activities, reach, and stature.
Our theme-based conferences—including AI-CTE-STEM (AI, Computational Thinking
and STEM Education), AI3L (AI in Language Learning and Literacy), AI-MetaACES
(Artificial Intelligence, Metaverse and Artificial Companions in Education and Society),
and ICLEA (Learning Evidence and Analytics)—are timely and vital. They serve as
specialized communities of practice that directly address these emerging challenges.
These venues, along with our journal, RPTEL (Research and Practice in Technology
Enhanced Learning), have become premier outlets for high-quality scholarly output that
shapes the future of our field.
Over the next two years, I will endeavor to sustain and elevate these efforts, fostering a
research ecosystem that bridges technological innovation with pedagogical insight. I
look forward to working closely with all of you to advance our shared mission.
